I know I've talked before about the joys of music appearing in adverts. Extra airplay. Get everyone hooked on a catchy chorus, and chart success will follow.
Don't Upset the Rhythm (Go Baby Go) by the Noisettes demonstrates this perfectly. On an advert for a car, it was number 2 in the charts after its release on 23 March. Without that though, I'm sure it would still appeal - bouncy, a little bit retro, and very funky. Classic.
Other honourable mentions this week:
Bat for Lashes - Daniel
Franz Ferdinand - No You Girls (Although I'm slightly surprised I can hear Metallica at the start of it (GO to 3:36, see if you can hear what I mean). NASCAR nut eh?)
Duke Special - Sweet Sweet Kisses
